Position :
Assistant Project Manager
Key Skills :


  1. Prepare project-related documents; establish and maintain project files to ensure document control through the project design, engineering and construction processes.
  2. Initiate subcontractor solicitation, qualification and vetting for projects.
  3. Estimating; Produce accurate plan take offs and submit complete project estimates for the Project Managers review.
  4. Track project submittals, received and submitted.
  5. Produce and submit the following documents accurately to the Project Manager: Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Client and Subcontractor Change Orders, Submittal Log, RFI's, and RFI Log.
  6. Complete Project Closeout Packages for submittal to the Client and Architect.
  7. Prepare and maintain updates to the project team documentation and checklists for Contract Review Meetings.
  8. Schedule and attend job walks, kick-off meetings, production and scheduling meetings.
  9. Take initiative, resolve problems, and create improved procedures to assure tasks are completed in the most effective manner
  10. Manage small projects and effectively coordinate with clients.
  11. Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education :
  1. A minimum of two years of coursework in an accredited engineering, construction management or project management program. 
  2. Proficient at reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications for all trades.
  3. Familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).  
  4. Must be able to work independently as well as thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.
  5. Strong desire to bring best practices to the team, share your knowledge and expertise and enable your team members' mutual success as the organization continues to grow.
  6. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  7. Onsite Supervision experience is not required but preferred and a plus.
  8. A Bachelors Degree is not required but it is a plus.
